Guerlain, a brand that has long revered bees, is going the extra mile to help raise awareness and re-populate bee numbers.
To do so, the French skincare brand has created the Guerlain For Bees Conservation Programme. Under the programme there are initiatives such as the brand’s launch of Women for Bees. Amongst other initiatives, Guerlain has also pledged a three-year sponsorship with the French Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the French National Museum of Natural History.

“We launched Bee Respect in 2019 to help consumers better understand and be informed about the whole lifecycle of Guerlain products,” says Cecile Lochard, Chief Sustainability Officer at Guerlain. “The platform looks at formula ingredients, packaging elements, suppliers, places of manufacture or their carbon footprint and way to recycle them.”
To celebrate this year’s World Bee Day on May 20th, the brand has partnered with renowned French artist Céline Cléron who has adorned Guerlain’s cult favourite, Abeille Royale Advanced Youth Watery Oil bottle with a delicate floral motif. The limited edition
